Kareena Kapoor is an Indian actress best known for her roles in movies like ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham…,’ ‘Chameli,’ ‘Omkara,’ and ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan.’ One of the Hindi film industry’s most popular actresses, she is also counted amongst the highest paid leading ladies in Bollywood. Born to veteran actors Randhir Kapoor and Babita, she was exposed to the film industry at a young age. Her elder sister Karisma Kapoor is also a well-known actress. She made her film debut as a 19-year-old in the war film ‘Refugee’ which proved to be a moderate success and helped launch her career as an upcoming actress. Despite getting a good start, she struggled for a few years to establish herself following a string of flops. As talented as she is beautiful, the young lady persevered and was able to resurrect her career with her portrayal of a bubbly and charming girl in the romantic comedy ‘Jab We Met.’ She has won numerous awards and accolades for her contribution to films, including six Filmfare Awards out of ten nominations as of July 2017. In addition to her acting career, Kareena Kappor is also the co-author of three books, including two nutrition guides. She has her own clothing line in association with the retail chain Globus as well.
